Peggy's Cove Lighthouse

HISTORIC BACKGROUND Though no longer a working beacon, the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, continues to keep watch over the entrance to St Margaret's Bay from a rocky granite perch that has survived the grinding of glacial ice and the daily pounding of Atlantic surf. Today the structure is the only post office in Canada operated from a lighthouse.
